According to my father, the "Flying Tigars" joined his group in 1942.

Addition to previous note: My father was a navigator and co-pilot on these planes for three years during the war. He was stationed in Kingman before the war.

These planes were used in flying the hump from India to China in 1942. All of the B-24Js from the 308 Bomb groups and 375 Bob Squadren flew these planes with a tiger on them.
